DREAMING STORIES
The Dreaming is First Nation peoples understanding of the world and its creation. The Dreaming shares beliefs that are connected to Country and animals through stories that are passed from generation to generation. These stories tell of creation and teach rules for the living such as social regulations, ethics and morality. Dreaming stories are associated with different parts of Country and different stories are owned by certain families and passed down through the generations. In the Central Desert Regions Dreaming stories are called Jukurrpa. Our collaborating art centre, Warlukurlangu Artists is renowned for their artists' beautiful representations of local Jukurrpa. This collection includes gorgeous artworks by Warlu as well as a number of works by our other collaborating artists.
