Yarn Marketplace, Australia’s largest First Nations supporting business is on the hunt for a motivated  Digital Designer to work across all our digital platforms and lead our growing design team.
Working from our Morningside, Brisbane office, you will be responsible for creating highly engaging content/assets for our social media, paid ads, email marketing and website, as well as enhancing user experience to provide the best shopping experience for our customers.

The RoleÂ
This is a highly dynamic role. Through this role you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on First Nations communities by promoting the works of Indigenous artists, and sharing their important stories with Yarn’s wide reaching Australian audience.Â
Your day-to-day responsibilities
Develop the overarching seasonal campaign design direction across all brand touchpoints
- Overseeing creative output to ensure consistency in brand representation
- Plan weekly marketing campaign scheduleÂ
- Design digital assets for use on the website, social media, edMs, paid ads and marketing campaigns
- Design homepages, landing pages & onsite collateral in line with the digital calendar
- Plan out social media including posts and stories for Instagram and FacebookÂ
- Analyse customer responses and website data, as well as social media responses and data so that content can be adjusted accordinglyÂ
- Bring your interactive and digital design skills to assist in delivering a diverse range of projects and jumping in anywhere you’re comfortable to help out
Our ideal candidateÂ
- 3+ years of demonstrated design experienceÂ
- Be highly proficient in the use of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator and Indesign)
- Highly developed skills in design, typography, composition and layoutÂ
- Experience using email marketing platforms (Klaviyo or similar) and Google AnalyticsÂ
- Experience in e-commerce platforms and their associated plug-ins and apps (Shopify or similar)Â
- Experience in planning out and executing marketing campaigns, creating assets for websites and social mediaÂ
- Excellent communications skills and ability to work collaboratively as a part of tight knit teamÂ
- Bonus points for experience in UX and UI design, coding, and the ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS and comparable languagesÂ

If your copywriting skills have met their roof, maybe it’s time to find a new horizon? At Yarn Marketplace, we’ve got plenty of space to grow! Australia’s largest First Nations supporting business is in the search for an ambitious Content Creator and Writer to join our expanding team.Â
What should you expect from the role?
Through this highly dynamic role you will be responsible for the management of our social media accounts and content creation. Furthermore, one of your main goals will be to establish a consistent brand voice that fully expresses our passion for First Nations art and a true connection with communities. This is a very dynamic role where you won’t just be writing copy, you will also be responsible for helping organise and style photoshoots (if you are into it!). We are also looking for someone interested in managing our relationships with our artists and other partners including community organisations and NGOs. So yes, the role has plenty to offer so if you are one of those kinds of people who enjoys a different day every day, this is your opportunity!
Your daily tasks:Â
- Produce engaging content for organic social media channels including Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok & Pinterest.
- Write and produce engaging content for social media platforms.
- Develop, implement and manage social media strategies.
- Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels.
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
- Influencer management (For key campaigns or digital advertising objectives)
- Update content calendars and provide reports on current activity
- Monitor social data and analyticsÂ
- Help with photoshoot planning and model styling
- Maintain relationships with artists and community partners (NGOs) by providing updates and organising regular meetings. Â
Our ideal candidate:Â
- Excellent communicator who loves working collaboratively. Â
- At least 2+ years in a similar agency or in-house role.
- Experience in managing organic social media platforms.
- Excellent writer with a strong handle on grammar and an ability to write in a short form, conversational styleÂ
- Has the capacity to write clear, creative and engaging copy without spelling mistakes.
- Keeps up to date with social media trendsÂ
IT’S A BONUS IF YOU HAVE:
- Photo and video editing skills.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience and knowledge of SEO best practicesÂ
